Description

Delicate French cookies with a smooth shell and chewy inside, filled with your choice of delicious filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups Almond Flour
  • 1 ½ cups Icing Sugar
  • 4 Egg Whites (room temperature)
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine almond flour and icing sugar, sift them together to avoid lumps.
  3. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until frothy, gradually add granulated sugar, and whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract.
  5. Carefully fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until achieving a lava-like consistency.
  6. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles on the prepared sheets.
  7. Let piped macarons sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until they lift easily from the parchment.
  9. Allow to cool completely before filling.

Notes

Accuracy is key, avoid humidity, and don’t skip the resting time for the perfect macaron skin.
