Description

Delightful, whimsical Tree Meringue Cookies that are light, airy, and perfect for festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Whites (room temperature)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Green Food Coloring (a few drops)
  • Mini Chocolate Chips (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites with an electric mixer until frothy, then increase speed to high and whip until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, continuing to whip until stiff peaks and glossy texture is achieved.
  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract and green food coloring until uniformly mixed.
  5. Using a piping bag, pipe tree shapes onto the lined baking sheets.
  6. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top as ornaments while the meringue is still wet.
  7. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until the cookies are completely dry, do not increase oven temperature.
  8. Turn off the oven and let cool inside for another hour before gently peeling off the parchment paper.
