Delicious Sourdough Monkey Bread made with fluffy dough balls coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for gatherings.

- 1 cup Sourdough Starter
- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 large Egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sourdough starter, melted butter, sugar, milk, and egg. Whisk until well blended.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour your countertop and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, break into small pieces, and roll each into a ball, coating in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the coated balls in a greased bundt pan.
- Cover the pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before turning out onto a plate. Serve warm.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; store leftovers in an airtight container for a couple of days or freeze for up to a month. Pair with caramel sauce or powdered sugar.
