A quick and easy focaccia recipe that can be made in a single day, resulting in a fluffy and delicious Italian flatbread.

- 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
- 1 ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 ½ cups Warm Water (around 110°F)
- ¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (divided)
- Toppings (optional): rosemary, garlic, cherry tomatoes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast. Whisk to combine.
- Slowly pour in warm water and half of your olive oil. Mix until no dry flour remains.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Gently press the dough into a greased baking pan, forming dimples on the surface.
- Cover the pan and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Once risen, drizzle the remaining olive oil over the dough and add your toppings.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and edges are crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use good quality olive oil for best flavor. Don’t rush the rising process for optimal texture.
