Description

A delightful side dish featuring roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in balsamic vinegar, honey, and lemon zest for a flavor explosion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts, remove yellow leaves, and cut in half.
  3. In a large bowl, combine halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until coated.
  4. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway.
  5. Drizzle balsamic vinegar and honey mixture over the sprouts, then add lemon zest.
  6. Toss before serving and enjoy!

Notes

For even cooking, cut Brussels sprouts into similar sizes. Avoid crowding the pan while roasting.
