Description

A warm and comforting apple cobbler with a crumbly topping, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually stir in the melted butter and milk until you have a thick batter.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a greased baking dish. Spoon the topping over the apples, covering them evenly.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Try serving with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also add raisins or nuts to the apple filling for extra flavor.
