Description

Fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth biscuits baked in warm peach butter, perfect for breakfast or as a delightful snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup peach butter (or peach preserves)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter and work it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk gently until just combined.
  5. Melt the peach butter in a baking dish in the warm oven.
  6. Spoon the biscuit dough into the dish, ensuring they are nestled in the peach butter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the biscuits are golden and risen.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Use cold butter for flaky texture; don’t overmix the dough to keep biscuits tender; experiment with different fruit butters.
