- Pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add pasta, chicken broth, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer.
- Stir occasionally until the pasta is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in heavy cream and allow pasta to soak up the sauce.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste.
- Serve hot, either straight from the pot or plated up.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, add grilled chicken or shrimp. Don’t skip fresh garlic to elevate taste and reserve some pasta water if the dish is too thick.
