- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Instant Yeast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 ½ cups Lukewarm Water
- (Optional) 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or Butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, instant yeast, and salt until well combined.
- Pour in the lukewarm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for about 12-18 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven or heavy pot inside to heat up.
- Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
- Cover it with a towel and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
- Carefully remove the hot pot from the oven, transfer the dough to the pot, cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the rolls cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature water for even rising. Avoid opening the oven too soon to maintain steam.
