Description

A delightful fusion of flavors with juicy grilled steak, seasoned rice, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups short-grain rice (or brown rice)
  • 1 cup assorted vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, cucumbers)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  3. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill marinated steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  5. Assemble bowls with rice, sliced steak, and assorted vegetables. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, cook rice in beef broth. Swap rice for quinoa or cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
