Description

A delightful treat combining ripe bananas with pantry staples to create a moist, flavorful loaf, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 3-4 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter, sugar, and eggs, and stir until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  6. Transfer the batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let rest in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor. Don’t overmix the batter, and let it cool completely before slicing.
