Description

A comforting and cheesy hashbrown casserole that’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for vegetarian)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese. Sprinkle in garlic powder and onions, mix well.
  3. Melt butter and pour it into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the hashbrown mixture on top.
  4. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different cheeses or add veggies like jalapeños for extra flavor.
