Description

A comforting classic dish featuring a rich and creamy mushroom sauce with ground beef, served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and mushrooms to the skillet; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and paprika, cooking for another minute.
  5. Add the beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 5-7 minutes to reduce.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in sour cream until well mixed.
  7. Toss the cooked noodles into the sauce until coated.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, replace sour cream with Greek yogurt. Adjust the thickness of the sauce to your preference.
