Description
A delightful combination of tender steak chunks seared in garlic butter, paired with creamy parmesan pasta for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 8 oz shell pasta
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the shell pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites and sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another minute.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese, adding a dash of pasta water if the sauce gets too thick.
- Add the drained pasta and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Plate the dish and garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half and use flank steak. Serve with a side salad or garlic bread.
