Description
A creamy and comforting pasta dish featuring tender chicken and bowtie pasta, tossed in a garlicky cream sauce with melty mozzarella.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the diced chicken breasts, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and allow it to cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Let it simmer and thicken for 3-4 minutes. Add in the mozzarella and parmesan, stirring until melted and well-combined.
- Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the sauce mixture. Stir to coat everything evenly. Adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or herbs if necessary.
- Garnish with extra mozzarella or parmesan, and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in spinach or sun-dried tomatoes. Use freshly grated cheese for the best melt.
