Description

Rich, chocolatey cookies with a fudgy center and crispy edges. Perfect for dessert or a midnight snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture without overmixing.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until soft in the middle.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Be sure to measure your flour correctly to avoid cakey cookies. Chill the dough if too soft and don’t overbake.
