Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Incorporate the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently mix in the chocolate chips or other mix-ins.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough onto a lined baking sheet, giving them space to spread.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for an hour for even softer cookies. Adjust sugar levels based on your sweetness preference.
