Description

Deliciously nutty and chewy cookies made with brown butter and toffee bits, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits


Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, then cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar and brown sugar with the cooled brown butter until smooth.
  3. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract until creamy and well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the toffee bits until evenly distributed in the dough.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for spreading.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
