- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, then cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar and brown sugar with the cooled brown butter until smooth.
- Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract until creamy and well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the toffee bits until evenly distributed in the dough.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for spreading.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
