Description

A simple recipe for soft and fluffy no-knead focaccia that brings the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread to your home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil (plus more for greasing and drizzling)
  • Toppings (fresh herbs, flaky sea salt, cherry tomatoes)

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt. Stir in warm water and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it sit for 12 to 18 hours at room temperature.
  3. Generously oil a baking pan (9×13-inch or cast-iron skillet).
  4. Stretch the dough gently into the pan and cover again, letting it rest for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Poke dimples into the dough, drizzle more olive oil, and sprinkle toppings.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Allow the dough to rise properly for the best results. Experiment with toppings for variety.
