- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Lower the heat and slowly stir in the heavy cream until the sauce is velvety and smooth.
- Toss in the drained pasta, mixing to coat evenly.
- Add grated parmesan cheese until melted and creamy, then top with fresh basil before serving.
