Description
A cozy bowl of creamy garlic parmesan chicken pasta, featuring tender chicken, luscious cream, and nutty parmesan cheese, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add cubed chicken breast, seasoning with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Italian seasoning. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add Garlic: Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant. Don’t let it burn!
- Make the Sauce: Stir in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Combine: Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Then, toss in the cooked pasta, ensuring every piece is coated.
- Serve Warm: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve warm with extra parmesan and fresh herbs on top.
Notes
Don’t overcook the pasta; it’s best al dente as it continues to cook with the sauce. Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
