Instructions
- Boil the pasta: Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make the cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking, and cook until thickened.
- Add the cheeses: Stir in the cheddar and Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well coated.
- Prepare for baking: Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly on top.
