Description

Delicious chewy bars featuring a sweet and tart combination, topped with creamy frosting and sprinkled with dried cranberries and white chocolate chunks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  7. For the frosting, whip together cream cheese and a bit of sugar until smooth and creamy.
  8. Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and cut them into squares.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened but not melted for a fluffy texture. Allow bars to cool completely before frosting.
