Description

A comforting dish featuring tender beef and vegetables wrapped in a flaky crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Beef Chuck, cut into small chunks
  • 2 Carrots, chopped
  • 2 Potatoes, diced (Yukon Gold preferred)
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Frozen Pie Crusts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Beef: Cut your beef into small chunks and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the Meat: In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat, and brown the beef in batches.
  3. Sauté the Veggies: Add onions, garlic, carrots, and potatoes, cooking until softened.
  4. Make the Gravy: Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Let it simmer until thick, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Assemble the Pie: Pour filling into a pie dish and cover with the crust, crimping edges to seal.
  6. Bake: Brush crust with egg wash and bake at 425°F (220°C) for about 30-35 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.

Notes

Serve with a simple side salad. Use cold ingredients for a flakier crust.
