Description

A comforting blend of cinnamon rolls and bread pudding, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or more milk)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or almond extract)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the cinnamon rolls into small chunks and place them in a greased baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Pour the custard mixture over the cinnamon roll chunks, ensuring every piece is soaked. Give it a gentle toss if needed.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set. Test it by inserting a knife; it should come out clean.
  5. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use stale bread. Customize your mix-ins with nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruits. Letting the mixture sit for 15 minutes before baking enhances flavor.
