Description

Delightful cupcakes decorated to resemble charming Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Cupcake mix (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 3 eggs (or applesauce for a vegan option)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)
  • Green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or vegan butter)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Candies and sprinkles (mini M&Ms, gumdrops, edible glitter)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
  2. Mix the cupcake ingredients according to package instructions and fill the liners two-thirds full.
  3. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack.
  4. In a bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar. Add vanilla and green food coloring until the desired shade is reached.
  5. Once cooled, frost cupcakes generously using a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  6. Decorate with candies and sprinkles to resemble ornaments and lights.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
