Instructions
- Bake the cake according to package directions and allow it to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl.
- Gradually mix in the frosting until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
- Roll small portions into balls (about 1 inch), or shape them into trees.
- Chill the truffles on a parchment-lined tray for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips according to package instructions.
- Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, then place back on the parchment.
- Before the chocolate sets, add holiday sprinkles or edible glitter.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens.
