Description

A festive dessert that combines luscious chocolate, buttery toffee, and colorful toppings, perfect for holiday gatherings and gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt
  • Various toppings (nuts, crushed peppermint, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stir in brown sugar, and bring to a gentle boil for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  3. Pour the toffee onto the lined baking sheet and spread it evenly.
  4. While the toffee is warm, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let sit a few minutes before spreading melted chocolate.
  5. Sprinkle your chosen toppings over the melted chocolate, pressing them in gently.
  6. Chill in the fridge for about an hour to harden.
  7. Break into pieces and serve or gift.

Notes

For the perfect toffee consistency, consider using a candy thermometer. Be patient while melting chocolate to prevent it from seizing.
