Description

These festive cookies are a delightful mix of candies, chocolate chips, nuts, and sometimes dried fruits, making them a perfect holiday treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts of your choice (pecans, walnuts, or macadamia nuts)
  • 1 cup candy pieces or dried fruits (M&Ms, Skittles, or dried cranberries)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy and smooth.
  4. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until blended.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, and any candy or dried fruits.
  7. Scoop spoonfuls of the dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space in between.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before enjoying.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Use room temperature ingredients for better blending. Don’t overbake for softer cookies.
