Description

A comforting hybrid of cheeseburger and casserole, featuring crispy french fries, savory ground beef, gooey cheese, and your favorite burger toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups frozen french fries
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ketchup, mustard, and half of the cheese.
  5. Spread half of the frozen french fries in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Layer the beef mixture on top of the fries.
  7. Top with the remaining french fries and sprinkle the rest of the cheese over everything.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  10. Add your favorite toppings before serving.

Notes

Don’t skip the browning step! You can also mix up toppings based on what you have on hand.
