- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups frozen french fries
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned, about 7-10 minutes.
- Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ketchup, mustard, and half of the cheese.
- Spread half of the frozen french fries in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the beef mixture on top of the fries.
- Top with the remaining french fries and sprinkle the rest of the cheese over everything.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Add your favorite toppings before serving.
Notes
Don’t skip the browning step! You can also mix up toppings based on what you have on hand.
