Description

Sweet and tangy brown sugar pineapple wings that are perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Place the chicken wings into a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the wings, seal the bag, and give it a little shake. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or better yet, overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place the marinated wings in a single layer on the sheet. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Cook the wings for about 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through. During the last 10 minutes, baste them with the remaining marinade.
  6. Once they’re golden brown and crispy, take them out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and then serve hot.

Notes

Marinate the wings longer for juicier results. You can tweak the sweetness and add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.
