Description
Sweet and tangy brown sugar pineapple wings that are perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the chicken wings into a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the wings, seal the bag, and give it a little shake. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or better yet, overnight for deeper flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place the marinated wings in a single layer on the sheet. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Cook the wings for about 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through. During the last 10 minutes, baste them with the remaining marinade.
- Once they’re golden brown and crispy, take them out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and then serve hot.
Notes
Marinate the wings longer for juicier results. You can tweak the sweetness and add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.
