Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, parsley, minced garlic, allspice, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands.
- Shape a handful of the mixture into an oval or mold it around skewers. Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Preheat your grill to medium. Cook the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the kafta warm with your favorite sides.
Notes
Don’t overwork the meat to prevent tough texture. Letting the mixture rest enhances flavor.
