Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the butter in another bowl until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Gently fold in the fresh berries.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
