Description

A delightful and moist cake bursting with fresh berries, perfect for summer gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter in another bowl until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
  6. Gently fold in the fresh berries.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
