Ingredients
Scale
- Pizza Dough
- Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Cremini and Shiitake Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Fresh Herbs (Basil or Parsley), for garnish
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: If making from scratch, mix flour, yeast, water, and a pinch of salt until a soft dough forms. Let it rise.
- Sauté the Mushrooms: Heat olive oil in a pan, add minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, then add sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Roll Out the Dough: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread sautéed mushrooms and garlic over the dough, then add mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish: Sprinkle fresh herbs on top before serving.
Notes
For the perfect pizza, avoid overcrowding the pan when sautéing the mushrooms. Add fresh herbs just before serving to retain flavor.
