Description

A delightful white mushroom pizza featuring sautéed mushrooms, gooey mozzarella, and fresh herbs, perfect for a cozy night in or impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Cremini and Shiitake Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Fresh Herbs (Basil or Parsley), for garnish
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: If making from scratch, mix flour, yeast, water, and a pinch of salt until a soft dough forms. Let it rise.
  2. Sauté the Mushrooms: Heat olive oil in a pan, add minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, then add sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  3. Roll Out the Dough: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface.
  4. Assemble the Pizza: Spread sautéed mushrooms and garlic over the dough, then add mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  5. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle fresh herbs on top before serving.

Notes

For the perfect pizza, avoid overcrowding the pan when sautéing the mushrooms. Add fresh herbs just before serving to retain flavor.
