- 8 cups day-old French bread or brioche, torn into pieces
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk or half-and-half
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt together in a large bowl until smooth.
- Soak the torn bread in the egg mixture for 15-20 minutes.
- Melt butter and pour it into a greased baking dish.
- Fold the soaked bread mixture into the baking dish evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Drizzle warm caramel sauce over the pudding before serving.
