Description

Indulge in these soft, chewy Valentine Ganache Cookies filled with rich chocolate ganache, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until you have a smooth dough.
  6. Use a cookie scoop to drop dough balls onto your baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, stirring until smooth.
  10. Once the cookies are completely cool, spread a spoonful of ganache between two cookies to create a sandwich or dip the tops for extra indulgence.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes for better shape retention. Avoid overbaking for softer cookies.
