Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers still look soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- After cooling, drizzle caramel sauce over each cookie.
- Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle or dip over the caramel-topped cookies.
- Allow the chocolate to firm up before serving.
