- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 grated apple
- 1 mashed banana
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Optional: nuts or raisins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon; stir until blended.
- In another bowl, mash the banana and mix in the grated apple and honey or maple syrup.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until just combined; fold in nuts or raisins if using.
- Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown; cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Choose ripe bananas for the best sweetness. Grate apples right before using for maximum freshness.
