Description

A creamy cheesecake combining classic banana pudding flavors with a crunchy topping, perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press into a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Fold in the mashed bananas into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Carefully pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust, smoothing it out evenly.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes until set in the middle. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  6. Spread whipped topping over the cooled cheesecake and optionally decorate with banana slices.
  7. Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafer cookies over the whipped topping.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Don’t skip the chilling time; it makes a significant difference in texture.
