Description

A comforting dessert combining banana bread and creamy custard for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups banana bread, cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread banana bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  4. Gently fold toasted banana bread into the custard mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 45–50 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
