Description

A delightful vegan dish featuring crispy, caramelized cauliflower florets coated in a sweet and savory sesame sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and place them in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated cauliflower onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, tossing halfway through until golden and crispy.
  7. In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top.
  8. Serve with rice, salads, or wraps, and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Choose fresh cauliflower for the best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure crispiness.
