Description

A comforting dessert that combines soft, ripe bananas with a sweet, buttery cobbler topping, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup Sugar (or Brown Sugar)
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (or Almond/Coconut Flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 1/4 cup Butter (or margarine)
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the ripe bananas into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and melted butter, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold the sliced bananas into the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Choose very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and do not overmix the batter to keep the cobbler fluffy.
