Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the dry mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges look set but centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce for a decadent treat.
