Description

A comforting casserole combining tender green beans with creamy mushroom soup and crispy fried onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans, then chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until mixed well.
  3. Place the green beans in the slow cooker and pour the soup mixture over them. Stir well to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, until the green beans are tender and bubbly.
  5. During the last 30 minutes, sprinkle the fried onions on top to crisp up.
  6. Once cooked, scoop it out and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh green beans for the best texture. Don’t skip the fried onions for added crunch!
