Spooky and delicious, these skeleton cupcakes are perfect for Halloween festivities or any playful gathering.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Black icing for decorating
- Candy skeletons for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter until fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
- Fill cupcake liners with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with black icing and place candy skeletons on top for decoration.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter for light and fluffy cupcakes. Chill frosting if too runny.
