- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt (plus more for sprinkling)
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips (semi-sweet and dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Sprinkle a little extra sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for about 8-10 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Do not overmix the dough for tender cookies. Chill the dough for thicker cookies if desired.
