Ingredients
- Sausage (Italian, chorizo, or turkey)
- Bell Peppers (mixed colors)
- Onion (yellow or red)
- Garlic (fresh or powder)
- Crushed Tomatoes (canned or homemade)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian Herbs (oregano, basil, etc.)
- Chili Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the sausage in a skillet for a few minutes (optional).
- Chop the bell peppers and onions into rustic chunks.
- Combine the sausage, veggies, garlic, and crushed tomatoes in the crockpot. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- After cooking, stir the mixture and serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh parsley.
