Description

A delightful combination of crispy hashbrowns, savory sausage, and a creamy egg mixture baked into a fluffy, flavorful dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Onion powder (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then set aside.
  3. Sauté the onion and bell pepper in the same skillet until soft, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fluffy. Add salt, pepper, and other spices.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer the hashbrowns, cooked sausage, and sautéed veggies. Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.
  6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for about 45-55 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
