Description

A cozy, hearty casserole combining savory sausage, crisp green beans, and tender potatoes, perfect for busy weeknights or weekend gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 4 medium potatoes (Baby or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Add diced onions and minced garlic; cook until onions are translucent.
  4. Wash and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the sausage mixture, sliced potatoes, green beans, cheese, and spices. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil, sprinkle with extra cheese, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and crispy.
  9. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust baking time if using larger potatoes, and feel free to add other veggies.
