Charming pastries filled with raspberry jam and shaped like sweet hearts, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

- 1 package puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup raspberry jam
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out puff pastry sheets until about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut out heart shapes from the rolled pastry using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place a dollop of raspberry jam in the center of half of the hearts.
- Top with another heart pastry and seal the edges with a fork.
- Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of each heart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the Danishes once they are cooled slightly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Chill the dough if it gets too warm. You can use different jams or chocolate fillings as variations.
